Christmas Configuration Box Workshop

Part I: Friday, April 13th @ 6-9pm

Part II: Saturday, April 14th @ 10am-3pm ($75 fee)

Even though the Holiday's are behind us, we thought this was the perfect time to offer this "Tim Holtz"

Inspired Configurations Class with the Christmas theme. We offered an Easter Box last year and it was a lot of fun. We have collected lots of great Christmas goodies and have started a cache of these collectibles just for this upcoming class.

This workshop is done in two parts since there is a lot of work to be done. Because of the time involved, we cannot offer this class in kit form, you must attend the two parts in order to complete the project.

In Part I, we will configure the boxes and cover them with papers and the Tim Holtz paper tape and prepare the boxes for the fun part... filling it up!

In Part II, you will fill each box with all kinds of Christmas goodies ranging from the collection of goodies we have assembled, to your own added special items that just have to be a part of this one-of-a-kind. Some suggestions of what kind of things you can add to your own boxes would be, small photos, small personal trinkets or a special Christmas ornament.

"A Year in Review" Project

On-Going Scrapbook Building Project

This project is one of our new ideas for 2012. We call it the "Year in Review, one month at a time..." and this is what it is all about. We see this on-going scrapbook building project as almost a scrapbook daily, or a month-to-month scrapbook journal of what is going on in the year. What we offer is a weekly issue of a new "page" kit. These kits are double sided, giving you two pages each week to add to your book. What is really different about this scrapbook building concept is that the weekly issues will be different, every time. Not only will it follow a monthly review, but the pages can vary in size, design, and even the medium that the page will be created with. It's hard to explain because the possibilities are endless and we have only just begun! As an example, the first issue of the January kits was for a 12x12 page. However, the page protector used was a divided protector giving us a 6x12 section and 3 4x6 sections to work in. The issue was double sided, so in the first issue, we offered a minimum of 8 different mini pages to memorialize! The 2nd week's offering was a double sided 8 1/2x11 scrapbook page, already beginning to build a very unique scrapbook. The fun part of this year long project is finding out what innovative ideas we come up with to make this one of the most interesting projects around. Are you up for the challenge with us?

We have started this project but it is not too late to join in. Registration into this "Year in Review" will guarantee that a kit will be created with your name on it. Periodically, there may be additional kits created that can be purchased a la carte, but this will depend on interest in this project as well as available materials we use to create each month's issues. You'll never know what each week's issue will bring... except one thing... excitement for sure!

Each week (3 out of 4 weeks each month) a new double sided layout kit will be issued. The fee is $12 per issue and will include all precut papers, embellishments and instructions. It will be up to you to make it your own and add your daily journaling and memories as your month progresses.

The "Captured Fairy" Workshop

Saturday, March 31st, 2012 @ 10am-3pm ($85)

This class offers a truly unique opportunity for you to create a one-of-a-kind keepsake. In this workshop, you will create a beautiful Fairy, caught and kept in a mayonaise-type jar. The workshop will consist of the assembly of the fairy, the "dressing" and adorning of her costume, hair and wings, the placement in her jar as well as her surrounding decor such as drift wood, mushrooms, moss, acorns, or anything else you can come up with! We will offer baskets and bins full of fun stuff for you to pick through and use for your jar and fairy. Special Fairy wings, and dyed Mohair hair will be supplied. The porcelain fairies will be pre-poured, fired and painted, but you will have a choice in her positioning and pose. The possibilities are endless with this project, it should be a lot of fun!
